Could A Simple Pill Be The New Caffeine?
For most people, prescription stimulants like the one created by Cephalon Pharmaceuticals are unnecessary. The majority of the population has and enjoys a natural circadian rhythm which allows them to sleep normally and awake in the morning fresh and refreshed. There are many, however, that do not.
It is this portion of the population that has kept coffee producers of the world and the soft drink companies in business for many years. We are the reason energy drinks have become so popular (because it’s not the taste that has made them so great).
For whatever reason, swing shift, split shift, night shift, night life or 12 hour shifts… some people cannot fall into a routine that allows for enough quality sleep and the results are very apparent when they show up as fatigue, sleeplessness and poor health.
As our lives continue to get busier and become filled with more things to do, places to be and less time to get there, be there and do them; we start looking for ways to eek a few more minutes out of each and every hour of each and every day. Unfortunately for us, our bodies were not designed to run 24/7, seven days a week; but some of us try to run them like that anyway and the results are sometimes devastating to our bodies.
Stimulants are generally our first course of action, usually in the form of caffeine or sugar. A large coffee from the Golden Arches or a 20oz Mt. Dew from the corner store is what we turn to in order to get going in the morning. Both are effective for a brief amount of time but eventually the crash comes and that dismal, mind numbing fatigue hits and seems to keep us from getting all the things we wanted to do done. Some will even turn to illicit street drugs like methamphetamine only to find out the hard way that the price of that decision is way too high.
Some people, like me, turned to high sugar (and high dollar) energy drinks to start the day but they to begin to lose their stimulating power after a few weeks. Our bodies grow tolerant to the supplements and resistant to the effects of the glucose that used to give us the ‘boost’.
So what now? What do we do when the first two or three or even four hours of our day are shrouded in a dense fog of fatigue? When every step forward seems to take more and more effort and the fog in your brain starts to slow down your thinking, what are our options? This is when we start looking for an alternative to caffeine and sugar, hopefully something that won’t make you jittery and restless.
Modafinil online was one of my options and I learned about it in a Readers Digest magazine in 2004. However it was that we discovered Modafinil, whether we heard about it from a friend or saw an article online about a pill that helps you stay awake, the result is the same; a spark of hope was created with that discovery.
I found out that Modafinil is used to increase alertness and decrease anxiety and sleepiness in those who take it. That sounds good. I also found out that there is very little chance of dependency because it is not an amphetamine. That’s even better. I learned that Modafinil is commonly prescribed for people with narcolepsy, but many people use it for a host of other “off label” reasons. It just keeps getting better! The best part? You can buy Modafinil online without a prescription. A simple web search shows you several websites that sell it. Your miracle cure is here!
